Welcome to Ocean18.  The redesign of the site is intended to reflect my limited status now as a freelance entrepreneur. I am redirecting my creative energy in the evenings and weekends now to music, art and continued education in government, policy & holistic activism. 

Over the last 4 years my feelings have evolved about the role advertising and communication media pays in our lives.  Authenticity is becoming increasingly important when we use products and services.  The intention behind the medium speaks much about the message: it's not just the artistic creativity of the package that we perceive.  As the communication tools have become more accessible and fluid it's become easier for individuals to use them.  The age of technically savvy self-empowered entrepreneurialism is growing. 

As "Ocean18 Media Services" I have been able to assist locally owned and operated businesses and organizations who in large offer much needed provisions.   When these businesses embrace integrity, sustainability, and grass roots functionality they are the source of much inspiration. 

These are interesting times.  I find myself questioning the economic philosophy I have grown up with.  Whereas, material gain was once the objective rule of thumb. It's now evident that we should exercise more prudent awareness of want vs. need.  Our cultural imperative invests a great deal of energy to experience the buzz of multitasking, clever novelty in and of itself, and the apparent unending supply and demand cycle without consequence. 

To be in the world but not of it is to push the envelope of personal gain through prayer, reflection, intention, hard work and art for art's sake.  Join me in seeking the next level of responsibility and creative freedom..
